Software install did not detect the network adapters.

I have attempted to install the LANGuardian software onto a PC but none of the network adapters seem to have been detected.

  • The LANGuardian software may not have the required drivers for the network adapters which are embedded on the motherboard are have been added to the PCI slots.

The following document on our website

    http://downloads.netforttechnologies....

Details the list of network adapters currently supported by our software.

The LANGuardian installation process will need to assign one network adapter as a Management port and another as a sensor port. This should be done automatically as part of the install process. However during the install you may find scenarios where

    - No network adapters have been found, in this case during the install process you will not be able to specify a management interface.

    - Single network adapter found, in this case during the install process this adapter will be used as a management interface. However there will be no sensor available on the system.

To resolve these situations we recommend that you install suitable network adapters in the PCI slots and then reinstall the LANGuardian software. The install process will then hopefully detect the new cards and assign them as required.
