Greetings guys!

I'm just wondering if someone here encountered the same issue below:

"swap_pager: out of swap space"
"swap_pager_getswapspace(4): failed"

Your input is highly appreciated.

Hi there!

Looking at those warning messages, it looks like the server you have installed LANGuardian could be running into memory problems and is starting to use swap and is beginning to fill up the whole amount of swap memory available. I'm guessing your system is extremely busy.

Have you any ideas how much memory or swap memory your system has?

You have a number of options available:

1. Add additional memory to the LANGuardian system. (I'd try this first).

2. Add additional swap space - if you could allow a netort engineer remote access to your LANGuardian system we could try adding additional swap space if it's available.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I have increased the memory yesterday to 6GB. I thought of expanding the SWAP or even the file system but I don't know how to console into the server. I've tried to find any option available from the web portal management but no luck.

Btw, is this could be the reason why I'm not getting any graphs? all the services are up and running including the sensor.

Hi again,

Adding the additional RAM should help.

Changes such as expanding SWAP can only be carried out by via root console access held by a NetFort engineer.

Still we would like to access your LANGuardian system to review the sensor traffic rates, swap and the reports and trends that you are having problems with.

Could you email technical support at support@netfort.com and we'll respond with a link to a GoToAssist URL.

It might be better to engage with you at this point over email.
