Configure Outbound Email

Greetings;
My Netfort installations are not sending email. I suspect it's because I need to configure the mail server details but I cannot find them anywhere in the configuration menus. Anybody got any ideas?

Hi There,
If you select configuration from the left hand menu and then scroll down to system configuration you will find an option to set the mail server details. If you specify something like an Exchange server you may need to add a rule on it to allow the LANGuardian to send SMTP email

HI Darragh;

this is all I have under system:

Configuration,
set the IP address, SNMP collectors etc of the system
Set the LANGuardian system time
Change your GUI password
Add/Edit LANGuardian user accounts
Change the SSL certificate used by the web server
View the system license
Configure the Device Locator

Hi,

From the GUI go to Configuration - System - Configuration, set the IP address, SNMP collectors etc of the system - SMTP Relay & SMTP From email address.

Specify a relevant IP address or hostname in the SMTP Relay field.

Enter an e-mail address which will be the senders e-mail address for all report and alert notifications generated by the LANGuardian.
