A recent customer query regarding outbound TCP connections of top local IP's based on external IP's gained our interest.
The customer attempted running a Bandwidth :: TCP Outbound Connections Report, to find the Service being displayed & not IP's.
This was due to the Report focusing on Port Numbers & Traffic, rather than Client IP's & Connections made.
The solution was found through running a Bandwidth :: Top Network Connections - focusing on Client IP's & number of Connections created.
Use the following example Filters ::
The top IP's based on external connections are then shown.
Tip :: Note the '!' Symbol in the Destination IP/Subnet Filter.
This represents connections that are not in the local Subnets specified.
Bandwidth :: Outbound TCP Connections Report - '!' Found in Destination IP/Subnet.
Bandwidth :: Inbound TCP Connections Report - '!' Found in Source IP/Subnet.
