How do I provide NetFort Support with remote access or support tunnel to a NetFort LANGuardian system?

The Connect to the NetFort Support Site page allows you to create a connection over the Internet to the NetFort support site which will grant authorized support staff access to your NetFort LANGuardian system.

If you’re happy to establish a remote support link, access LANGuardian using the following URL


From the GUI

Go to 'Settings' (upper right-hand corner) -->  'Establish a remote support tunnel' under 'Support'.

  1. Enter your assigned port number in the Support ID text box.
  2. Click the 'Connect' button.
The LANGuardian system needs direct ssh access to the Internet in order for this mechanism to work. Make sure your corporate firewall is configured to allow ssh connections from the LANGuardian system through.

Before you create the connection you should contact NetFort support in order to obtain a port number. Enter your assigned port number in the Support ID text box and click Connect.

The page will refresh with a message Connection Established displayed and NetFort support staff will now be able to access your NetFort LANGuardian unit remotely.
