LANGuardian can record all DNS queries and with our NEW DNS Decoder feature, you can now identify:
  • All DNS servers that are queried
  • The clients that use them
  • The domains queried
  • The resolved IP addresses

"DNS lookups is a good tool for us to troubleshoot lookups for certain domains internally, see to which DNS server the request is being placed" - Wim Thomaere, Executive Officer, ICT, Educational International, Belgium

If your DNS reports do not contain any data; enable 'Alert on ALL DNS replies' in your sensor settings; you should then see results come through.

This video provides an overview and common use-cases of the new DNS Decoder feature.

Should you have any questions regarding DNS reporting, or indeed any other aspect of network monitoring with LANGuardian, feel free to contact us.
