Earlier this week, I spent some time working with a customer on a technical update and LANGuardian health check. Based on feedback received during this training call, a critical report for the customer was one they had recently created themselves, that was called 'Internal to External'.

They use the report to watch out for traffic going out of their network. They can then drill-down if they spot unusual or high bandwidth use.

'Internal to External' report screenshot below.

The steps to create the report are as follows:

1. Use the Search box to locate the Bandwidth :: Sessions report.
2. Enter the IP address or subnet range for your Internal network in the Source IP/Subnet field and the IP address or subnet range for your External network in the Destination IP/Subnet field.
3. Click Run.
4. When LANGuardian displays the report, click Actions on the report menu bar and select Save As.
5. Enter a Name and Description, then click Save.

The new report will be listed in the My Reports section.

I used Report Variables in screenshot above, and if you would like to use that customisation option, the report variables can be created at the following page.

We would like to hear from you!
What is your favourite LANGuardian report and why?
