As you know, NetFort introduced 64-bit versions of LANGuardian in November 2012. We wanted to let you know that we will shortly be announcing the end of life for 32-bit versions of LANGuardian (all versions prior to 11.0). The end-of-life announcement date will be 30 June 2013. From 31 December 2013, maintenance releases and fixes for 32-bit versions of LANGuardian will no longer be available.

We would strongly encourage you to migrate to 64-bit LANGuardian as soon as possible. There are many benefits, including faster performance, support for larger memory configurations, and support for a wider range of peripherals. Our engineering team has developed an upgrade wizard that makes it really easy to upgrade to 64-bit LANGuardian version 11. You can preserve your LANGuardian database during the upgrade, or start again with a new database. The migration wizard is included in the latest 32-bit version of LANGuardian verions 10.5.3. If you are still running an older 32-bit version, you can upgrade to the latest 32-bit version and then use the migration wizard to upgrade to 64-bit LANGuardian 11.0.
