One of our customers asked us recently if LANGuardian monitors encrypted as well as non-encrypted network traffic. The answer is yes. LANGuardian inspects all traffic -- encrypted and non-encrypted. Information it can provide about encrypted traffic includes:

  • Protocol

  • Source and destination IP addresses

  • Source user name

  • Port numbers and associated service names

  • Amount of bandwidth used

LANGuardian cannot provide the same level of detail about encrypted traffic that it can about non-encrypted traffic. because it cannot inspect the content of encrypted data packets.

Watch this short YouTube video to find out more about how you can monitor encrypted traffic with LANGuardian.

And, as always, if you have questions about any aspect of LANGuardian, please contact us on any time.
