m planning to generate a daily report for the hosts down during the last 24 hours. In the advanced reports section, there is an option to schedule a report.

Does this mean schedule the report generation and send via email daily? Where can i disable and enable the scheduling for reports?

To schedule the report generation and send via e-mail daily. Assign the report to the email list - Configuration - Create an alert based on a report - find the report and hit the drop-down menu 'email' and hit save.

To specify who receives the daily reports go to Configuration - Configure the LANGuardian email distribution lists. You can enable and disable the e-mailing of daily reports from the report wizard page.

Scheduled Reports - LANGuardian 6.6 introduced a new mechanism for generating reports in an asynchronous, or scheduled manner. Rather than initiating a report on the GUI and having to wait for results, a report can be scheduled and the results emailed when the report is complete. This mechanism is ideally suited to reports that may take a long time to complete, such as audit type reports of particular events, over a long period. The reports can be delivered in CSV, HTML or pdf format.
