Service Inspector - How do i send email alert if a trigger ( host service) down?

To create an alert when a system or service goes down:

1. Click on in the LANGuardian menu bar and select Configuration.

2. On the LANGuardian Configuration page, click Create an alert when a system or service goes down.

3. Select the method that you are using to monitor the systems or services by clicking on an arrow in the Go column. The options are:
ICMP ping
TCP connect

4. Enter information in the following fields:
IP address
Port (TCP connect only)
Show on a dashboard

5. Click Save.

Then to create an alert when this systems or services goes down, go to the Mark signature section.


If you don't already see 'Host is down' or 'Service is down' as Marked signatures.

Then, click on the Add marked signature link on this page and, specify the Name as down and Click search.

Select the action as 'email' for both Host is down or Service is down.
