I have configured port mirroring on my Netgear Switch GS748T and the sensor one still saying NO SPAN with a red dot. I used Wireshark with a different computer with the same port, and I captured the data and loaded it to the LanGuardian server; I was able to see the traffic. Can someone help me? Thanks

Thank you for your post.

We're sorry to hear that you are having issues.

The link looks up but there appears to be very little traffic flowing through the link eth1.

Can I please ask you to check the port mirroring session, it will only take a few minutes, see page 53.

The port that the LANGuardian sensor is connected to should be defined as the source port with the Type set to be TX and RX. Mirrors both incoming and outgoing traffic on the designated source ports.

Will be happy to do a webex to help get this setup, if you have any questions on this please contact our support team at support@netfort.com

Once you have setup port mirroring on the Cisco switch. I would suggest you mirror port connection to your router for starters and you can extend this later. You can choose any port for the destination port. Just make sure it connects back to NIC 2.

We can take a look via GoToAssist if it suited.
